When do you ship your orders?
We work to get out every order within 3-8 business days. Processing times vary during holidays (October/Halloween, Black Friday & Christmas are high sale volume times.)
During the Summer Months- We do not ship out on Thurs-Sat to prevent your candles from melting in a hot warehouse/mail truck. We aim to ship out every order by Monday & Tuesday, Wednesday is the absolute latest. Orders placed Wednesday after 10 A.M. EST-Sunday will be shipped out the following Monday-Wed.
Fall/Winter- We ship orders out Monday-Thursday. Orders placed over the weekend will go out the next following week.
Please take in to consideration, if you are ordering our products for a gift, please order a week (two weeks or more is even better) BEFORE the gifting date to ensure that you will receive your order at an appropriate time.
Christmas- We are going to work extra extra hard to have all of your guys orders out the door FAST! Please take in to consideration, if you are ordering our products for Christmas gifts, the deadline to get it in time for Christmas this year is Sunday, December 15th. All those orders will ship out Monday, the 16th. As we all know, November & December is when USPS is the busiest--so the sooner, the better!!
Please be patient with us. We are a small business & a VERY small team. Everything is done by hand-- designing the labels, creating the actual candle itself, & packaging each and every order. Every. Single. Candle. All done by loving hands. We want each batch to perform their best, so we strive to maintain that standard with each batch. We appreciate all of your support! We make things from the heart for you and yours!
Are your products vegan friendly and cruelty free?
Absolutely. We love animals and our team at Lunar Light Co. are all pet owners. Our waxes and oils have NOT been tested on animals and contain NO animal products & absolutely NEVER WILL!! We use quality cruelty free fragrances & create our own unique custom blends. ALSO, our fragrances DO NOT CONTAIN phthalates of any kind and again, NEVER WILL! Phthalates are proven to be harmful to various organs in our bodies & sadly, SO many store bought candles contain them. Our candles never will have phthalates of any sort.
My order is lost or stolen?
Please make sure the address that appears on your Paypal is up to date. We print our labels straight from Paypal with tracking. If the item says delivered, please check with your local post office. It could still be on the mail truck or at the post office. Also, check to see if it was left with your neighbor by mistake. Unfortunately, once the product is out and says delivered, we cannot offer refunds or exchanges. Candles arrive in large boxes, please let your local post office know a safe place to put it if you are not home. USPS provides an option where you can have them hold your package until you are able to pick it up. (Just go to your tracking info on the USPS website and include it in the special instructions for delivery) If you have issues in your area or will not be home, please keep that in mind and when filling out shipping, put a trusted address such as a neighbor, work address, family member's address, or request the post office to hold the package etc. Once an item is shipped, we do not have any more information than you do. If there is a problem with your shipment, please contact your post office and give them your tracking information. We are not responsible for lost or stolen packages. In this case, we suggest filing a complaint with your local USPS. We are not responsible for the errors made by USPS.
DAMAGED PRODUCTS FOR REFUND/EXCHANGE- If you have received your package and find that your products are damaged, PLEASE KEEP THE TRACKING LABEL, PACKAGING AND ITEMS. USPS requires the damaged package to be inspected by the post office before filing a claim. Please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org and send us clear photos of the damaged items & the tracking label on the package. All priority mail provides insurance coverage, so contact us so we can find the best solution and to file an insurance claim.
We only offer refunds/exchanges for damaged products.
SUMMER NOTE- Melted candles cannot be refunded or exchanged, so please make sure if you are not home at expected delivery, notify your post office to hold your package until you can pick it up.
Why are the shipping costs so high?
Unfortunately, USPS is greedy (Yes, We're looking at you USPS.) USPS shipping is high especially priority (Priority Mail is what we use on pretty much all of our items!) Our candles are also in quality made glass jars which make them heavy packages. The weight of the package determines the costs of the shipping. We want to make sure your candles do not melt or break in transit so we take extra care packing each order and ship them priority to keep them moving a long so they will not spend days in a warehouse. We do however offer flat rate shipping for our candles (perfume oils and room mists - flat rate as well but the shipping is cheaper as they are very light weight. This includes decor candles, wax melts, and 2 oz tins, they are light, so shipping is cheaper on these items. ) Flat Rate means it will be one flat cost no matter how many you buy. If your order reaches $50 or more (before shipping), you will receive a gift from us in your order! Please understand, we are a small business and it can become costly buying supplies, selling online, taxes and shipping.
Do your candles burn clean & Are the cold & hot scent throws strong?
Yes, our candle scents perform extremely well.
Cold Throw is the candle scent strength when it is unlit. Hot throw is the scent strength when lit. We like unique strong scents. (without being offensive) & we only use premium grade fragrance oils we blend ourselves for excellent throws.
Yes our candles burn clean. Trim those wicks!!
Here's some candle care tips.
- TRIM THOSE WICKS! Any soot you may see is a result in a wick that needs to be trimmed. Keep wick trimmed to 1/4 inch at all times. The wick should be trimmed every 4 hours of burn time. Simply extinguish the flame, let candle come to room temperature, and trim the wick to 1/4 of inch before relighting. (if you don't own wick trimmers, you can use scissors, or simply pinch the top with your fingers!
- Allow the wax to melt to the edges of the jar each bur to prevent tunneling and pooling.
- Never leave a candle burning unattended, and don't burn for more than 4 hours at a time.
- Stop burning your candle when only 1/4" of wax remains.
Do you offer wholesale?
At the moment, only local (Cleveland) (If you're located in Cleveland or nearby surrounding areas, contact us if you're interested in carrying our products!) We are still a very small business but hopefully we will be able to offer wholesale to more states in the future! :)
